First: Begin by preparing the furrowed field. The easiest and most effective foundation is the ready-made plowed field by Busch. No additional color or textures are required. Simply glue to your platform and allow to dry. (You may also carve furrows into a soft surface or blueboard. Paint the furrows a natural soil color.)

Second: Cut the crop rows to desired lengths.
Third: Apply a small amount of 3-IN-1 to the base of the crop row. Not much is needed. You do not want to apply so much as to mat-down the small leaf textures.

Joshua, our proud gardener, is taking great care cultivating the soil around his precious potatoes and bean rows. Shown is an O-Scale figure #EX1041 (Joshua is part of our 6-piece set Sante Fe Crew Set EX1706 )

Fourth: Place the glued base within the furrow and allow the glue to set a few minutes. Use tweezers or dental pick to push the row permanently in place.
